Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-06-14

Operator and application

These terms govern the use of Sonir (the “App”), provided by nadai, an independent developer (“we”), and form an agreement between you and us. By downloading or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms. Contact: sonir@nadai.dev.

Age

To use the App, you must have reached the age required in your country or region, or, if you are a minor, have the consent of a parent or guardian.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the App in accordance with these terms. Redistribution, modification, and resale of the App are prohibited. Reverse engineering is not permitted except to the extent allowed by applicable law (such as for interoperability).

In-app purchases and subscriptions

Paid features (Pro) are provided through App Store / Google Play in-app purchases. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled. To stop renewal, cancel via your store account settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Purchases, refunds, renewals, and price changes follow the terms of each platform. See the Privacy Policy for how subscription status is managed.

Disclaimer regarding measurements

The App is provided “as is.” Measurement results depend on smartphone hardware characteristics, environment, and calibration state, and we do not guarantee agreement with dedicated measurement instruments. Do not use the App’s measurement results for legal evidence, decisions involving safety or health, professional certification, or similar purposes.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the App. This does not apply to damages caused by our intent or gross negligence, nor to rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

Data

User data such as recordings and measurement data is stored on your device. Backing up and managing your data is your responsibility. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Intellectual property

Rights in the App, the name “Sonir,” the logo, the screen design, and accompanying assets belong to us or to the rightful holders. These terms do not transfer any of those rights to you.

Termination

You may end your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it. In the event of a material breach of these terms, we may restrict your use of the App.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. For disputes relating to the App, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection laws applicable in your country or region of residence.

Revisions

We may revise these terms for feature additions or legal compliance. For material changes, we will update the date on this page and notify you where possible. Continued use after a revision constitutes agreement to the revision.
