About Sonir

ABOUT

Sonir connects air recording × measurement × comparison in a single phone. Record under the same conditions, compare under the same conditions. We turned that obvious idea into a tool anyone can reproduce.

What it is for

Whether audio sounds good is easily fooled by level and environment differences. Sonir matches levels and lines up conditions — gear profiles, room tags, calibration files — so you can verify with measurement rather than impression. From SPL and RTA/FFT to sweep-based IR (RT60, frequency response, waterfall), measuring and comparing are a single flow.

What we value

  • Compare under the same conditions: remove level — the biggest illusion — then look at the difference.
  • Open the process: the definitions and procedures behind each metric are published on the features page; the measurement is not a black box.
  • Never exaggerate: before calibration we show dBFS as-is, so an uncalibrated device never inflates absolute values.

Who builds it

Sonir is built and run solo by the independent developer nadai. A backend engineer by day, writing the acoustic processing by hand and growing Sonir as a phone app. One person, few products, a long timeframe — built to be refined patiently.
